Best MagSafe wallets of 2026: Expert tested and reviewed

As our phones become more useful with digital wallets that let you pay, present identification, and even travel, traditional wallets may eventually be a thing of the past. However, we're not completely ready to ditch the billfold. There are still incidentals that you may not be able to present virtually, and plenty of places still don't accept services like Google Pay and Apple Pay

MagSafe wallets securely attach to your phone with magnets, making them easy to detach for wireless charging or to change your phone's look. Plus, they're a fairly affordable mobile accessory. The best MagSafe wallets right now are ESR's Aura Wallet, Satechi's MagSafe wallet, and more.

Why we like it: After getting my hands on the ESR Aura MagSafe wallet and stand, I was immediately obsessed. This wallet quickly shot to the top of my rotation and became a favorite in my collection.

While this wallet is very similar to others on this list like the Journey Ezmo and the Satechi, the value it offers is insane. You get a quality vegan leather wallet, strong magnetic hold, five card slots -- including a dedicated ID pocket, notches for easy card access, and five colors to pick from -- all for under $30 right now.

Who's it for: If you need a functional, practical, and affordable MagSafe wallet, this may be for you. Plus, ESR offers fun colors including pastel pink and purple and some universal neutrals.

Who should look elsewhere: If you're looking for a more luxurious option or a larger card capacity, you may want to look elsewhere. This wallet also isn't uber slim, so if you need an ultra thin option, this may not be for you either.

ESR Aura MagSafe wallet features: Multi-functional | Dimensions: 4.1 x 2.6 x 0.5 inches | Card capacity: Five cards (includes ID window)

Value 10 Efficiency 10 Performance 9 Design 9 Compatibility 9
Pros
  • Great value for the money
  • Fun colors
  • Dedicated clear ID slot
  • Strong magnetic hold
Cons
  • Lacks some traditionally neutral color options
  • Texture may bother some

With four card slots and a designated space for your ID, there's a spot for your essential cards to keep you on the go. The Satechi wallet can also double as a phone stand, oriented horizontally or vertically. It is made of scratch-resistant vegan leather that is easy to wipe clean.

Who's it for: If you're looking for a clean, premium phone wallet, the Satechi delivers a rugged yet elegant design and build. Plus, there's a few newer color options available that open up this wallet's aesthetic range significantly, like a desert rose color.

Moft Snap Field Wallet with Stand

Best MagSafe wallet for odds and ends

4.2 / 5 Score

Why we like it: Moft's MagSafe gear is a longtime favorite of mine, and the brand finally amplified the amount of cards I can carry in their new Snap Field wallet with stand. With built-in pockets and slots, storage for up to 8 cards, and a handy stand, it's got everything I've come to love about Moft products rolled into a new envelope-style accessory. And like most Moft gear, it's available in multiple colors, including more unique options like Peony, Brownie, and Sapphire.

Who's it for: A frequent traveler or commuter, or anyone looking to have a simply great carry option on hand for their smartphone. Now you can finally pack cards and other small incidentals like a key on your phone. Since it's also available with or without a stand configuration, it's even more customizable to your needs. I prefer with the stand!

Who should look elsewhere: If you want a minimalist or sleek design, less storage, or a slimmer profile, you'll want to consider other options. With the stand model selling for $50, those looking to spend below will want to check out other options, too.

Moft Snap Field Wallet with Stand features: Multi-functional | Hidden phone stand | Internal pockets and slots | Card access pull tab | Dimensions: 3.94 x 2.76 x 0.59 inches | Card capacity: Up to 8 cards (or 4-6 cards with small items)

Why we like it: Nomad has a built-in tracing card that links up with Apple's Find My network, so you'll never lose it. The wallet can also recharge wirelessly with any MagSafe charger or Qi charger. Once full charged, a battery lasts up to five months. Nomad says the wallet holds up to four cards, but I think three is more practical and comfortable. This is a stylish option for anyone who enjoys a stylish tech experience, and Nomad makes some of my favorite accessories.

Who's it for: If you want a stylish leather MagSafe wallet with Bluetooth tracking, this one from Nomad is it. The Mag wallet is made of Horween leather, which will age and patina over time for a unique and beautiful look.

Who should look elsewhere: If you're looking for something to use sporadically or want something more affordable, check out the ESR HaloLock or Aura wallet.

Nomad Leather Mag wallet features: Dimensions: 3.8 x 2.6 x 0.35 inches | Card capacity: up to 4 | Built-in FindMy tracking | Horween leather construction | Wirelessly rechargeable on any Qi or MagSafe charger | 5-month battery life once fully charged

Value 7 Efficiency 9 Performance 9 Design 9 Compatibility 8
Pros
  • Horween leather
  • Built-in tracking
  • Elevated look and feel
Cons
  • Limited color options

Why we like it: The Ohsnap wallet is made of aluminum and features an expandable, nearly enclosed design. This means that unlike many MagSafe wallets you can slide cards in and out of, Ohsnap has a more refined approach.

In fact, it's very similar to expandable wallets like The Ridge, meaning the only way to access your cards is through a slot in the top. This style is one of the most secure ways to carry your cards but isn't ideal for carrying cash or other small incidentals. Pack in up to eight cards, get radio-frequency identification (RFID) blocking, a kickstand, and several color choices.

Who's it for: I Ohsnap's loved the modern look, secure card storage, and ample space. I wish there were a way to access my cards without taking the wallet off of my phone, and I do think it is on the pricier side. However, it's a great option for a serious MagSafe wallet user and those looking for a sophisticated aesthetic.

Who should look elsewhere: If you want a more affordable or traditional style MagSafe wallet, you'll want to look elsewhere. In addition, if you don't care about a slim way to store multiple cards, you don't need to spend out on this option either.

Ohsnap Snap Grip Wallet features: Multi-functional | Slide-access | Dimensions: 96 x 64 x 12.7 (max) mm | Card capacity: Eight cards

Value 8 Efficiency 7 Performance 8 Design 8 Compatibility 8
Pros
  • RFID blocking
  • Expandable to hold up to eight cards
  • Sleek and minimalist
  • Fun color options
Cons
  • Must remove off phone to access cards
  • Pricey
  • No room for cash

Why we like it: Ekster's Cardholder Pro wallet now comes in a MagSafe version, and it's a great option if you want that ejection lever for easy access to your cards. This MagSafe wallet from Ekster is the only one I've tried in my time at ZDNET that offers the feature. It also comes in a few punchy colors, is lightweight, and has a lifetime warranty.

Who's it for: This wallet is great for anyone interested in an elevated, aluminum-style wallet that features storage up to 7 cards and a metal card ejector mechanism. This wallet is also great for someone looking for customizable options, as Ekster sells add-ons for MagSafe, too. As a bonus, it's also well-designed enough that it can function independently from a smartphone.

Who should look elsewhere: If you need less card storage, want a more minimal or sleek look, or don't prefer an aluminum construction, you'll want to look at other options (perhaps ones we've tested and reviewed). You'll also want to skip this if you don't want to spend over $100 on a MagSafe wallet.

Ekster Cardholder Pro Wallet features: Multi-functional | Recycled aluminum construction | Built-in ejection lever | Dimensions: 9.4 mm x 101 mm x 58 mm | Card capacity: Seven cards

Pros
  • Ejection lever
  • Sleek profile
  • Lightweight
  • Strong magnetic hold
  • Stackable accessories
  • Can be used separate from phone

Why we like it: Journey's Ezmo MagSafe wallet is the perfect balance of style and function. With enough space to hold five cards, it indeed resembles a classic wallet. The Ezmo wallet also doubles as a phone stand, so you can watch your favorite entertainment or keep your phone screen visible at your desk. The stand has adjustable viewing angles in both portrait and landscape modes. There's also a protective lining with radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology to safeguard your cards' information while preventing them from becoming demagnetized.

Who's it for: This is another MagSafe option for someone that wants a larger card capacity but still a traditional, premium wallet style. This wallet will also be best for someone who values muted tones, as it only comes in a few neutral colors. The Ezmo wallet is also available in a tracking version -- the LOC8 MagSafe Finder Wallet and Stand -- if you're prone to losing things frequently.

Who should look elsewhere: If you want a similar look and function, but for less, you'll want to look elsewhere. You'll also want to skip this wallet if you're looking for fun colors or designs.
